The Gold Tone AC-4T is a 4-string openback tenor banjo set up for standard CGDA tuning. The Gold Tone OB-150WF is the Orange Blossom bluegrass banjo built with a wide fingerboard and a wider nut, giving you more room between the strings for cleaner fretting and comfortable rolls. It is an easy recommendation for players with larger hands or anyone who simply prefers more space under the fingers. The tone is classic OB-150: a three-ply maple rim, one-piece cast flange, and a bell brass flathead tone ring for authentic pre-war bark. The Gold Tone OB-150EF is the Orange Blossom bluegrass banjo with Gold Tone’s Extra Fret neck — 24 frets instead of the usual 22. Those extra frets give you a full two octaves on the first string, reaching a high D where a standard 22-fret banjo stops at C, and because the longer neck keeps the same scale length and string tension, it feels familiar in the hand while sitting the bridge closer to the center of the head for a warmer voice with excellent clarity up the neck. Underneath it is the same pre-war-style flathead architecture the OB-150 is known for: a three-ply maple rim, one-piece cast flange, and a bell brass tone ring. The Gold Tone CC-100R+ is the upgraded version of one of the best-selling beginner-to-intermediate banjos ever made, with more than 25,000 Cripple Creek banjos in players' hands worldwide. The "+" adds a rolled brass tone ring and a ZeroGlide nut for a warmer, more resonant voice and clean open-string intonation. Built on a hard maple neck and rim with a real rosewood fretboard, it plays well above its price class.
