1929 Gibson TB1 5 string conversion Banjo

This is a fantastic one piece flange style 1 conversion with a CM178 tone ring and we believe a Frank Neat neck. This is in excellent shape and all original other than the conversion parts.

This has a maple resonator with nickel hardware. The neck is also maple with a rosewood fretboard. The fretboard has flying seagull inlay. There is white binding on each side of the neck and resonator. The flange is flat. This is one of the best sounding style 1 banjos that I have ever heard, period. This banjo is exceptional and all original other than the conversion neck and tone ring. The banjo comes in a tan Superior hardshell case.

Condition

The banjo is in truly incredible shape. The finish is clean and really looks great. The neck is straight and the banjo has been set up here at the Banjo Warehouse. The fretboard is clean with clean frets all the way down the board. This is definitely a well taken care of instrument. The banjo plays fast and I want to emphasize that this is one of the best sounding style 1 banjos that I have ever seen!!! The banjo has spikes at the 7th, 9th and 10th frets. The Superior case is also clean and basically brand new.
