This is a killer TB1 Pre War conversion Banjo at a great price.  The banjo has been fully inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse.

Description

This is a maple banjo with nickel hardware.  The tension hoop and tailpiece are both non original.  The armrest is old but we are not sure if it is pre war or not.  The flange is original.  This has original finish as well.  The tone ring is a no hole flathead ring and we do not know the maker.  It is definitely a professional ring.  The neck is also professional but we do  not know the maker.  The flange has 3 small repaired spots.  They are almost impossible to see and most people wouldn’t even notice them.  I included a few pictures of the back of the resonator because it is so shiny that it is reflecting major.  That is reflection, the resonator is 1 solid color. This includes a very nice leather strap.  This also includes a very nice Guardian hardshell case.

Condition

The banjo is in exceptional condition.  The finish looks fantastic and is original.  The neck is also in exceptional shape.  The original flange has almost no pull.  The frets are clean and there are spikes in frets 7-9.  The hardware definitely looks great.  If it wasn’t for the repaired flange this would be a $5500 banjo!!  The case is also in fantastic shape.

Set Up

This has been set up here at the Banjo Warehouse.  The banjo has comfortable action that produces a lot of tone and volume.  This has proper intonation.  The head is set to 90 on a drum dial all the way around.  The head is a frosted Remo Head that is clean.  The bridge is a Sullivan Bridge with an ebony cap.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings.  This plays great and sounds incredible.  Truly great deal on a Pre War conversion Banjo.
