1930 Gibson TB4 5 string Conversion Banjo
This is an all original pot with a Huber HR30 tone ring. This is walnut and chrome and the chrome still shines with limited signs of wear. The neck is either a Neat or a Huber but we are not sure which. The neck has a rosewood fretboard with a flying eagle inlay and spikes at the 7th-9th frets. The frets and neck are both in good shape and the frets are fat and meaty all the way up and down the fretboard. This is absolutely a solid banjo all the way around.
The finish on the resonator is original and there is some wear on the back of the resonator but not much in fact this is a very clean resonator considering this is an 80 year old banjo. This is a stellar piece cosmetically and functionally and is a very very loud banjo as well. All 4 model banjos have a distinct tone from the walnut and this is not only no exception it is a shining example of a loud and well rounded 4.
This 1930 Gibson TB4 5 string conversion banjo has got the pre war sound. This is vintage Gibson at it’s best with that classic walnut depth in tone.
We have gone through this and this is set up and is ready to go with zero problems. This includes a hardshell case as well and that is a nice hardshell case. If you have any questions at all please ask. Thanks!!!! CALL TODAY 404-372-5482
