This is a fantastic Pre War Gibson conversion Banjo. TB1 One Piece flange with a Huber HR30 tone ring. This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This is a stellar Pre War Gibson conversion Banjo. This has an all original pot other than the Huber HR30 tone ring. This has a one piece flange which shows basically zero pull. The armrest is an original one piece armrest and this has an original Grover Patent Presto tailpiece. The neck is a Frank Neat neck and is an excellent neck. The neck is maple with a rosewood fretboard. There is a type of Seagull inlay pattern on the fretboard along with white binding on each side of the neck and resonator.

This banjo is POWERFUL. This is one of the best sounding Pre War TB1 conversion banjos I’ve seen. The Huber HR30 tone ring is very significant in that sound along with all of this original wood and hardware. This sounds great and plays like butter. This banjo also includes a hardshell case.

Condition

This is also in great shape. The Pre War hardware shows light wear for a Pre War. There is some minor tarnish on the metal but almost none. In fact the hardware looks fantastic. The resonator is also in fantastic shape showing basically no wear. That is the original finish. The neck and fretboard are clean as well with frets that look nearly perfect. This has no spikes or 5th string capo but we can do that for you if you would like. This is not only an exceptional banjo it is clean and has a clean hardshell case.

Set Up

This was set up by Steve Huber. The banjo has a Deering frosted head which is set to 88 on a drum dial. The bridge is a new Huber bridge which is set with correct intonation. The banjo has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action is set nicely. Plus this is fully adjustable. This is a killer Pre War conversion Banjo that has been professionally converted and assembled along with set up. This looks great, sounds great and plays like a dream.
