1930 Gibson TB-2 Conversion Banjo
This is an original pot with a Huber neck and I believe a Blaylock tone ring. The banjo is in great shape with a Walnut resonator that is gorgeous with some nice patina on the flange. The flange is in great shape and has almost no pulling. The neck is in great shape and this has a rosewood fretboard with a flying eagle inlay pattern. There are no spikes on the banjo.
The last picture is of the resonator and I included that picture so you can see there is no finish issue. There are some reflections from the lighting in the first resonator picture, that is glare from the lighting.
This 1930 Gibson TB-2 Conversion Banjo is a great sounding 2 with the walnut and this is fully set up and playing and sounding great!!! There is truly limited wear on this and the banjo was a great conversion. The case is a Superior hardshell case that is clean.
Pre War Gibson banjos have a tone that no other banjo produces. This is a fantastic example of that pre war tone.
