1930’s Gibson TB11 5 string Conversion Banjo

This is a Pre War Gibson One Piece Flange TB11 conversion Banjo with a Don Bryant Neck.  The Banjo has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This is a Pre War Gibson TB11 conversion Banjo that is super clean and has an all original pot.  The neck was built by Don Bryant and features the pearloid material that these style 11 banjos are known for.   This also happens to have original wood veneer on the sides of the resonator which is a rare and nice touch.

The shell is a 3 ply hard rock maple shell and the resonator is the original style 11 resonator.  All of the hardware is original including a one piece flange and the original Pre War tone hoop.  All of the pot hardware is original and is in great shape.  This banjo is remarkably clean all the way around.

This is a light weight, all original conversion Banjo that is in fantastic condition and ready to go.  This also includes a hardshell case.

Condition

This banjo is remarkably clean for a Pre War.  The metal all looks fantastic with a really nice shine.  The resonator is in fantastic shape with the original clean finish.  The neck is basically new so that is also super clean.  The frets are in fantastic shape and this has spikes at the 7th and 9th frets.  This is absolutely gorgeous with a clean hardshell case.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.  The head is a Remo frosted head which is set to 90.  The bridge is a Bales Bridge and the intonation is set.  This has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this is also a superb player.  This is a super clean Pre War Gibson Banjo that has the look, feel and sound you are looking for!
