This is a stellar Gibson TB11 conversion that has all original hardware. The Banjo has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

This is a Pre War Style 11 conversion with all original hardware and a Sloan Ring. This is definitely a top quality example of a style 11 conversion and is in great shape and professionally set up.

This has the original shell and resonator and the resonator has a pearloid veneer which some call “mother of toilet seat”. This resonator has a brown shade around the edge which is somewhat rare and a very attractive quality. The neck is an unknown maker but is absolutely a professional quality neck. The fretboard is a dark rosewood with a Hearts and Flowers inlay pattern.

This has all original pre war hardware including a One piece flange, tension hoop, armrest, tailpiece and all hooks and nuts plus L brackets. Sloan Tone Rings are regarded as the best by many players (particularly for Pre War), and this has a Sloan Tone Ring. The banjo is phenomenal and this is a great chance for someone to get an incredible Pre War Banjo. This includes a Superior Hardshell Case.

Condition

This banjo is in incredible shape. All of the hardware looks great and its amazing to think this hardware is 90 years old. The resonator is in great shape also. The neck is clean and the fretboard has been cleaned and oiled. The frets look great and this has spikes in frets 7 and 9. This is in awesome shape and the Superior Case is also clean.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse. This has a Remo frosted head which has been set to 90. The bridge is a Dotson Bridge and the intonation is set. The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this plays GREAT!!!! This is truly a top quality Style 11 conversion that is ready to go.
