This is a STUNNING Style 11 Conversion that also has brown shading on the resonator which is RARE. This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

This is one of the best looking Style 11 conversions I have seen. The pot is clean and near all original and the gorgeous pearloid neck was done by Clancy Mullins. This also has the original tenor neck and case so this is the total package.

This has a style 11 pattern in pearloid on the back of the resonator. There also is a brown shade around the side of the back of the resonator which is rare and looks really good. The armrest, flange, and tension hoop plus all of the hooks, nuts and thumbscrews are all original and look great. This has new tuners with amber buttons which adds a nice touch of class. The tailpiece is a modern Presto Tailpiece and is the only non original part other then the neck. This also has the original rolled brass tone hoop and original shell with a label.

This is truly stunning and is set up to produce true Pre War Tone.

Condition

Like I said this is gorgeous and it is so clean we didn’t have to do any cleaning to this on the way in. There is some very light pitting but not much. The hardware still shines which is amazing considering it is pre war. The neck and resonator look great which is especially impressive because the resonator is original. The frets look great and there is no 5th string capo, no spikes and there never was either. This is ultra clean and the original tenor neck and case plus the 5 string case are all clean as well.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse. This has a Remo frosted head which is set to 90. The bridge has an exclamation point which I have seen a few times now but I don’t know who’s stamp that is. The strings are new Huber Truetone .10s and the banjo plays great. This is definitely set up and ready to rock.

I want to mention I have very little room to negotiate on this because I have to pay to ship two boxes due to the extra case.
