This is a very special Pre War TB3 conversion.  This is a premium 3 because it has a wider Shell.  This banjo sounds amazing!!!

Description

This is a mahogany banjo with nickel hardware.  The banjo also has a mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard.  The fretboard has a leaves and bows inlay pattern.  This has a Yates RB75 tone ring and a Davis neck.  This has a very rare and special wider rim.  The rim is slightly larger than a standard pre war rim which does add sound.  In addition the flange on this is flat which is very rare.  This banjo has some very nice qualities that are very hard to find and do add to the banjo.  This has a one piece armrest and a Grover Patent Presto Tailpiece.  The hardware and finish are all original.  This is all original with the exception of the conversion parts.  Includes a Superior Hardshell Case.

Condition

The banjo is in truly incredible shape.  Especially considering it is nearly 100 years old.  The flange is nearly perfectly flat.  The original finish is very clean.  There are a handful of small button scratches but just a few.  All of the hardware looks incredible.  The neck is also in beautiful shape. The fretboard is clean as well.  The frets show almost no wear.  There are spikes at the 7th and 9th frets.  This is truly a gorgeous instrument with a clean case.

Set Up

The banjo has a Remo frosted head and a bridge with a target symbol.  All of our banjos are set up here at the Banjo Warehouse.  The banjo has fantastic action for fast playing with lots of tone.  This is professionally set up and includes a 7 day Full Satisfaction Guarantee.
