1947 Gibson J45 Acoustic Guitar

This is a super cool 1947 Gibson J45 with a hardshell case.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This has mahogany sides and back and a spruce top.  This is all Solid Wood.  The neck is also mahogany and this has a rosewood fretboard.  The fretboard has dot position markers.  The finish is sunburst and the top finish is original.  The back and sides are a combination of new finish and overspray.  The body has w/b/w binding on the front and back which is original.  This has the original pickguard and bridge.  The tuning keys are original but the buttons on the tuners are new.

There was a decal on the top of the guitar which was removed and there is a square of missing finish on the top because of that.  There is also a very small crack that is right by the pickguard which is difficult to see.  This guitar definitely is a player guitar and this definitely is a strong player.  There is some wear and age but the function and tone are tip top.  This also includes a hardshell case.

The finish has some checking which in my opinion makes it look cool.  The neck and fretboard are clean and the frets are in fantastic condition.  If you want the true vintage tone of the old Gibson Guitars this is it!!!!
