1957 Fender Stratocaster Electric Mandolin Guitar

This is a super rare vintage Fender Mandocaster which is a mandolin strat. This was used on the Lawrence Welk show from 1959-1982. There is provenance. This is definitely a collectors item and is gorgeous.

The finish is the original sunburst. The pickguard is a rare anodized gold pickguard. The neck is maple and this has all original parts except for possibly the tuner buttons. The case is the original Tweed Hardshell Case. Plus this has a couple of picks from Neil Le Vang who was the musician that played this on TV. In addition this has a nice leather strap.

Condition

This is gorgeous for a 60 year old instrument. The finish is gorgeous but there is some wear on the back of the body. The pickguard also has some light wear. The neck is straight and the frets are definitely clean. The mandolin is set up and sounds and plays fantastic. The case does have some light wear but is solid and looks great.
