This is a 1961 Gibson J200 Acoustic Guitar with Original Gibson Case. This has been fully inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This has maple sides and back with a spruce top. The guitar is all solid wood. The neck is also maple with a rosewood fretboard. The guitar is finished black and has been refinished. There is some very nice inlay position markers going up the fretboard and the headstock also has inlay. There is white binding on each side of the neck and around the headstock and w/b/w/b/w binding on each side of the body (white with 2 black pinstripes). This has the original pickguard which is a tortoise pickguard with some design. The bridge is also original and is rosewood with some pearl blocks.

This is a really attractive and desirable guitar and also includes an original Gibson Hardshell Case.

Condition

This is in really incredible shape, especially considering the age. The finish looks great with normal signs of use but very limited signs. There are a handful of very small surface marks which can only be seen if the guitar is angled in a certain lighting. The neck and fretboard are both clean with clean frets. This has no damage at all and really looks great. The pickguard design is slightly worn but most of it is still there. The original case is clean inside and out. This is a great chance to get an exceptional sounding large body vintage Gibson guitar that sounds and plays incredibly well.
