This is a 1972 Fender Precision Bass that has been heavily modified.  This is functional and could be a great bass or bass project for you.

Description

This is a 1972 Fender Precision Bass that has new pickups and electronics.  This also has been refinished and the job is ok.  This also has a new badass bridge.  The only parts I know for sure are original are the neck and the body and neck plate.  I think the pickguard and possibly the tuning keys are also original but I’m not sure.  This bass is totally functional and works so this could be used right away.  There is a lot of potential to a bass like this but technically this is ready to go.  The bass weighs 8 pounds and 3.5 ounces.  There is no case or gig bag but I have cases that I would include for another $100 that are nice tolex hardshell cases.

Condition

The face of the headstock has not been refinished and that is showing some checking.  The rest of the neck has been refinished and this is a clean job.  The body is also refinished and also looks pretty good.  There are some marks like some minor nicks but overall it’s in good shape.  The pickguard is clean and the bass looks really good overall.  This is actually a good example of a vintage P bass that has been modified and overall looks good.

This is ready to go, there are no problems with function.  This would be a great bass to get to get the classic sound but save a lot of money.  If you have any questions at all please ask.  Thanks!
