1977 Music Man Stingray Bass
This is an immaculate Early 1977 Stingray Bass. This has been inspected, cleaned and set up by the Stingray Man at the Banjo Warehouse.

Description
This is a stunning and all original early 1977 Stingray Bass with a natural finish and a super clean original case. This bass has all the features that the most serious Stingray Player would want and all in a super clean package that appears nearly untouched.
This has an Ash body with a one piece maple neck which both have the original finish. The bass weighs 11 pounds and 6 ounces. The body and neck are both dated March 1977. This is all original including an epoxy preamp, string through body bridge, John Holmes Long Pole pickups and a thunder pocket. All of these features together produce the most desirable Vintage Stingray tone. All of the hardware is original and chrome and super clean. The frets are original as is the nut and decal featuring the TM logo. This bass is absolutely stunning and also includes an original hardshell case.
Condition
This is nearly a time capsule and this is in basically near mint condition. The finish and the metal are glowing. The fretboard shines like a mirror and the frets are perfect. There is a bit of light scratching on the pickguard which is amazing because the bass looks untouched. There are a couple of light button scratches on the back as well which I have no doubt could be buffed out. This is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. The case is also in stunning condition.
This has been set up with new GHS strings and this plays like butter. The tone that comes out of this is exactly what should be expected from a Stingray of this era. This BOOMS with a whole lot of cut. This is essentially the perfect Pre Ernie Ball Stingray Bass.
