Description

This is a 1977 Stingray Body that has been refinished black and has a very high end reproduction neck that was made by an extraordinary Japanese Builder. I am serious when I say this neck is incredible, it is a bit on the clubby side but not all the way fat. This neck feels fantastic and I really like it.

The bass has the Thunder Pocket routing in the pickup cavity that truly helps deliver a deep and full tone. The pickups are 1977 raised A and D pole pickups. This has all Pre Ernie electronics other then the preamp which is the rare and high quality Ernie Ball vintage replacement preamp. There are no mutes on the bridge.

All of the hardware including the tuners and string tree are original. This is a phenomenal players bass with a deluxe gig bag and I have no doubt at $2999 this won’t last long.

Condition

This bass is in really good if not excellent condition. There is some minor scratches and dings in the black finish but it’s not bad. Really it looks really good. All of the metal also looks good. The frets are perfect and the fretboard is in fantastic shape.

All of the electronics are working and clean as well. The bass is set up with new Ernie Ball strings and this is truly a killer player. This is a great way to get the Pre Ernie Ball experience without having to spend $5000 or more!!! This bass is cleaned up, set up and ready to go.
