1977 Music Man Stingray Loaded Body

This is a 1977 Music Man Stingray Loaded Body. This has everything except for strap buttons. This is the perfect bass for someone that has a vintage stingray neck and wants a complete bass. These are getting harder and harder to find in any condition. This not only is a loaded body this has the more desirable pickups and preamps. Plus it is light.

Description

This is a 1977 natural body. The pickups are the rare “John Holmes” Long Pole pickups. The poles extend into the body which creates a serious boom and deep tone. The pickup cavity is also factory routed deeper with 2 “Thunder Pockets”. This routing allows the vibration to build under the pickups and really creates a fantastic sound.

The preamp is a 1977 epoxy coated preamp. The pots are all dated to prior to spring of 1977. The input jack is also original. The knobs and knob plate are also original.

This also has an original string through body bridge. These bridges are nearly impossible to find. The finish is also original. There is some checking and a bit of wear on the back but this is a really clean body. The body weighs 6 pounds and 15.4 ounces.

This is fantastic loaded body for a vintage stingray project. The body is dated February of 1977 so this is definitely a good one.
