1977 MusicMan Stingray Bass Body
This is an original body off of a 1977 Music Man Stingray Bass. This has original natural finish. The body is also light at 5 pounds 1.2 ounces. This is a fantastic body to build a vintage stingray with.
This also has what I call a “Thunder Pocket”. This is an area in the pickup cavity that has 2 channels routed at the bottom. This was factory done and does a lot to help the tone of the bass. The sound will resonate in that pocket and will improve. It can be difficult to find a good body to build a Stingray with and this is absolutely a fantastic body already.
Condition
The body is in overall good shape. In fact it is in really good condition. The finish does have some checking in it and some belt buckle rash on the back. The finish is still looking very good and now it has some more vibe and mojo. This has the true vintage look while still being clean and attractive.
