This 1977 Stelling Staghorn Five-String Resonator Banjo is in excellent condition. It was very seldom played, if at all. This banjo has an abalone shell pearl binding along the inlay, neck, heel, and both sides of the resonator.
Condition: Virtually no fretware. Somebody put a stain along minor cracks in the back of the resonator (see photos). The case is in excellent shape with minor cracking of the covering (see picture).
Bottom line:Â This vintage art piece may have never been played, and it can be yours.
We generally carry a wide range of Stelling banjos, from the Staghorn and Golden Cross models to the Red Fox, Sunflower, Whitestar, and others.
Stelling banjos are known for their exquisite quality and bright sound. Stelling banjos have been played by many top players, including Alan Munde, Don Reno, Eddie Adcock, Alison Brown, and Tony Trischka.
Remember that we nearly always have Stelling banjos in stock that have yet to be added to our website listings.
Every Banjo we sell receives a professional setup in our shop. This Staghorn has its head set to 90. It has the correct intonation and is a phenomenal player. This Stelling Staghorn is also fully adjustable with a truss rod and dual coordinator rods. Â
