1978 Music Man Stingray Bass Black
This is an all original Pre Ernie Ball Stingray Bass finished black. This weighs 9 pounds 15 ounces. The body is most likely alder and the neck is a one piece maple neck. ALL ORIGINAL. This has the thunder pocket in the pickup cavity which are two routed canals that allow for more tone. This also has an epoxy preamp with pots all dated to 1977. This still has the original mutes. The bass is set up, all original and light weight. The case is a non original vintage tolex hardshell case. The body is dated January of 1978, the neck is February of 1978.
Condition
This bass is in really good shape and is all original. The finish is clean and really looks good. It isn’t mint but it is clean. The neck feels great and is set up. The bass has low action for fast playing and the truss rod turns. All the hardware is in good shape with minimal age. The frets are clean. The tuners also are clean. The electronics are all working and this really sounds great. The bass is clean and plays and sounds fantastic. The tolex case is also clean inside and out.
