This is a gorgeous and light All Original Pre Ernie Ball Stingray Bass. This has been inspected, cleaned and set up by the Stingray Man at the Banjo Warheouse in ATL.

Description
This is an absolutely gorgeous 1978 that is all original with a gorgeous original sunburst finish. The bass weighs 9 pounds 8 ounces which is a big deal. One rule of thumb with vintage Stingray Basses is the lighter the better and at 9.5 pounds this weight is ideal.
This also has a Thunder Pocket which is a routed area under the pickups which helps greatly with tone. The bass also is a string through body and has an epoxy preamp. This is truly a top quality design that is gorgeous and weighs just the right amount.
All of the electronics are original and working and clean. The hardware is all original and chrome and is also clean. This bass is set up and ready to go and also includes an original case.
Condition
This is in great shape and was professionally cleaned by the Stingray Man. The metal has all been disassembled and polished and the wood has been waxed to a shine. There is some buckle rash on the back of the body but not much. The finish is in phenomenal shape. The frets are in great shape, this has clearly also been taken care of. The original case is clean inside and out also.
This has been set up by the Stingray Man with new Ernie Ball Strings. This plays great and is oozing with tone!! These Vintage Stingray Basses have gotten HARD to find and this is a phenomenal example of one.
