Description

This is a very early Stelling Golden Cross Banjo. This is all original and in fantastic shape and sounds incredible.

This has a Walnut Neck and Resonator each with white binding and checkered purfling on each side. There is a wooden cross inlaid in the back of the resonator. The fretboard is ebony and this has the golden cross inlay pattern.

All of the hardware is nickel and all original including a one piece Stelling Ribbon Flange and a Stelling No Hole Nickel Tone ring. This banjo is exceptional and all original and includes an original Leather Stelling Strap. This also has a very clean non original hardshell case.

Condition and Set Up

This banjo is very clean. There is some checking on the bottom of the back of the resonator but other then that this is essentially near mint. The finish looks fantastic. The frets and fretboard are in fantastic shape and there are spikes at frets 7,9 and 10.

This has the original Stelling Frosted Head and the original Stelling Bridge and we put new Huber strings on this. This is a fantastic banjo that is clean and set up and ready to go!
