1979 Inca Silver Music Man Stingray Bass
This has a super rare Inca Silver finish and the finish is also still silver. There were only a couple hundred basses made in Inca Silver and this was a custom finish. Everything is original except for the volume pot. This has a gorgeous neck as well and the entire bass is very clean. There are some light signs of use but we are talking only minimal. The frets are original and the frets are clean as well. This bass sounds absolutely incredible and it is an exceptional player as well. Any Inca Silver Stingray bass is special but when you get one that also is this clean it is over the top.
The tone pots were 1978 and 1979, the neck is dated December 3, 1979. The body has no date stamped but like I said this is a custom finish bass so this was made to order and just didn’t get a stamp. In addition the pickup cavity has some sort of black stuff in it which I am quite sure that was also done in the factory. Even if it isn’t it definitely is adding something to the tone. The preamp is original but is not epoxy coated which is stock for a 1979. Inca Silver basses are RARE and very very special, they are hard to find and even harder to find in this condition.
