1979 Music Man Stingray Bass

This is a 1979 Music Man Stingray Bass that is all original with a large hardshell case. This has been inspected and set up by the Stingray Man at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

This is a gorgeous Natural Pre Ernie Ball Stingray Bass from 1979. This weighs 8 pounds and 15 ounces which is very rare. The neck is a one piece maple neck and this is all original including the frets. The hardware is all chrome and also all original. The bass is a string through body which is definitely more popular than a top loader bridge. This produces a size of tone that can only come from a string through. The electronics are all original and all working including original pickups and an original preamp. This also has hardshell case.

Condition

The bass is in great shape and has been professionally cleaned and set up at our shop. There is a minor crack right above the nut under the truss rod cover which is pictured. The nut also has a crack but the nut is secure. Other then that the bass is basically immaculate.

I disassembled the bass and waxed all of the finish and buffed all of the metal with a high powered buffing wheel. The bass is absolutely glowing. There are some other minor surface scratches in the finish but we are talking minor. The frets are nearly perfect with almost no wear.

This is a very nice bass all the way around. This has new Ernie Ball strings and has been set up to be a monster player. This bass is ready to rock.
