1979 Music Man Sunburst Sabre Bass
This is an absolutely gorgeous and early example of a Music Man Sabre. This has been inspected, cleaned and set up by the Stingray Man at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description
The Sabre Bass was introduced at the very end of 1978 and this is from the summer of 1979. The bass is all original and very clean with a gorgeous Sunburst finish and the original case.
This has a one piece maple neck with the original frets, nut and finish. The fretboard and frets look almost unplayed. The original sunburst finish is gorgeous with all original chrome hardware that glows. This has a complex electronics system which is all original. This features a preamp, volume and two tone knobs and 3 switches. The pickups are both original. Everything works and is clean.
This is all original and the neck is dated July 6 1979 and the body is July 2 1979. The case is also original.
Condition
The bass is in fabulous shape and has been disassembled and cleaned and set up by the Stingray Man. The tuners were all taken apart and polished and the bridge and control plate have been cleaned as well. The wood has all been waxed and the fretboard and body glow. There are a couple of extremely minor nicks in the finish on the body but this finish is seriously clean. The hardshell case is clean as well.
This has been set up to play fast and the truss rod and all the saddles are adjustable. The electronics all work and are clean as well.
