Description

This is a gorgeous 1979 Music Man Sabre Bass with a clean and original Sunburst Finish. This bass is all original other than a new input jack. If you want a beautiful Pre Ernie Ball Sabre that is all there and rocking and rolling, this is it.

This has the original Sunburst finish. All of the chrome parts are original and this even still has the mute kit. All of the electronics are original, present, clean and working. This is a fantastic player that looks great, sounds great and feels incredible.

If you look on the front of the fretboard you will see some marks from fingers/fretting. Most of this is between frets 2-5. That is basically the only wear on the bass other then the fact someone etched in a number into the neck plate. This bass is gorgeous but it does have a couple of blemishes that are worth nothing.

This also includes an tolex hardshell case. The bass weighs 10 pounds and 3.4 ounces.

If you are looking at this ad you probably already know how hard it is to find Pre Ernie Ball Music Man basses these days. It is even harder to find them with so many original parts and as clean as this is. I encourage you to shop around but if you do what you will find is this bass is not easy to find and these have gotten expensive.

Condition

This is definitely in fantastic shape. There is checking in the finish and a handful of very small dings but the finish looks really good. There is some patina on the hardware but that fits the age and also looks great. This is a clean bass that has a vintage and classic vibe. Some of the finish is worn off the fretboard in spots which you can see in the pics.

All of the electronics are working and clean and this is set up and is a killer player that sounds fantastic. The tolex case is clean as well.

All Pre Ernie Ball Basses have gotten very hard to find and this bass is in great shape and absolutely delivers the juice. This is set up and ready to go!!!
