1979 Stelling Bellflower Top Tension

This is one of the only Top Tension banjos that was made by Stelling. This may be your only chance to buy a Top Tension Stelling. This has been fully inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This has a walnut neck and resonator with a block rim. The fretboard is probably ebonall but the neck is not only straight the truss rod turns. This is all original with a custom armrest and a Stelling Tailpiece. There is a custom Stelling Hearts and flowers inlay pattern on the fretboard. The neck and resonator both have w/b/w binding on each side. The headstock has a couple of Heart Flowers with the Stelling logo inlaid.

This is one of the most rare Stelling Banjos that exists and only a handful of Top Tension Banjos were made by Stelling. This is absolutely gorgeous. This also includes a hardshell case which may be original, I’m not sure.

Condition

The banjo is in fantastic condition. The hardware looks great, absolutely gorgeous. All of the finish is also clean. The neck and fretboard are in fantastic condition and the frets are also super clean. There is a minor touch of wear on the first few frets but almost nothing. There are spikes at frets 7 and 10. This is an absolutely gorgeous example of this banjo with a clean hardshell case.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up here at the Banjo Warehouse. This has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings. I believe the head is an original head but whatever it is this is a clean head. The head is set to 90 on a drum dial. This has nice string height which is adjustable and correct ino
