This is a remarkably clean Squier Bullet Bass from the 1983 SQ series in Japan. This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

1983 Squier Japan was a step above even Squier Japan basses made in the mid 1980’s. I have heard different theories on exactly what was happening but I can say from experience there was something positive in 1983 at Squier Japan. This is a very clean example of a bullet bass which is one of Fender’s most classic and iconic designs.

This has a sunburst body and the finish looks fantastic. This has a split coil pickup along with a volume and tone knob. All of the electronics are original. The neck is a one piece maple neck, standard scale with original finish, frets and nut. This bass is all original and has some super vibe and mojo. This also includes an SKB hardshell case.

I am trying to find more of these 1983 SQ series Squier Japan Basses so if you have one and will sell it please let me know.

Condition

This bass is super clean. There is one tiny finish nick on the front of the bass and a couple almost unnoticeable marks on the back. The finish looks fantastic and it is clear this has not been played much. The frets are in perfect shape. This bass is clean all the way up and down. This is absolutely a fantastic example of one of these Bullet Basses that is set up, totally functional and ready to go.
