1983 Stelling Sonflower Banjo Banjo 17 of 23

This is a highly collectible limited edition banjo made to honor Sonny Osborne of the Osborne Brothers. This is a maple banjo with gold engraved hardware that is gorgeous. The neck is also maple with an ebony fretboard. The fretboard has a custom Hearts and Flowers inlay. The headstock also has a clean inlay of the Stelling Logo and a custom inlay pattern. The neck and resonator both have white binding on each side.

Everything is engraved and everywhere. The flange, tension hoop, armrest, tailpiece, all over. This is a true work of art that will turn heads and really make anybody happy!! This also includes the original Stelling Hardshell Case.

Condition

The banjo is definitely in fantastic condition. The finish is definitely clean and really shines. The resonator looks great. There is a very small piece of binding on the side of the resonator that looks like it may have a light repair. It is pictured. The hardware is also gorgeous. There is a slight amount of wear on the armrest but that is it. The banjo is absolutely gorgeous!

We set the banjo up and it plays great. This is also a great sounding banjo with the maple and gold. The banjo is basically a deluxe granada or Earl Scruggs Standard. The case is also in excellent condition. The banjo is a true collector’s item with an original case and paperwork.
