This is a Vintage Deering Greg Deering Limited Banjo that has a BRAND NEW $299 Deering Case. This has been fully inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

The Greg Deering Limited Banjo is a Special Limited Edition Banjo that has top quality design and materials. This is all original and in great shape and has a wonderful tone and is a joy to play.

This has a maple shell with a Walnut Neck and Resonator. The fretboard is ebony with custom inlay only found on the GDL. There is white and abalone binding on each side of the neck and resonator which looks incredible. The hardware is all original including a no hole tone ring and a Deering one piece flange. This banjo is beautiful in every way and the no hole tone ring and walnut produce a haunting pop that can only be found with this set up.

This also includes a new Deering Case which is a $299 case by itself. This is definitely a great price on this banjo especially considering it has been professionally cleaned and set up.

Condition

This banjo was lightly used and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse. We disassembled the banjo and buffed all of the metal to a nice shine. The wood has been waxed to a shine as well and the fretboard has been cleaned and oiled.

The resonator has some light surface button scratches which are hard to see. There also is some nicking on the back of the headstock which is pictured on the Banjo Warehouse website. Other then that the banjo is gorgeous. The frets are in great shape and there are spikes at frets 7-9. Since the case is new it is also immaculate.

Set Up

This has also been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse. This has a new Huber frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial. The bridge is set with correct intonation. This has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action feels great! This plays great and has fantastic volume as well.

These sell for over $6000 and you can buy this banjo for half of that.
