These Greg Rich era banjos are some of the best ever made and have been experiencing a great deal of interest and popularity. This is a Scruggs Standard which is a copy of the banjo that Earl Scruggs played which is a Granada with nickel not Gold hardware. This is also a curly maple banjo and has an ebony fretboard with Hearts and Flowers inlay. This is absolutely gorgeous and is put together the same way that Earl had his banjo.
This is also in very good condition, in fact its absolutely stunning. The finish and hardware are in fantastic condition in fact the finish is absolutely glowing!!! Even the frets show almost no signs of wear with just light spots on only the first few frets. This was absolutely well taken care of and it looks fantastic.
This is also set up to play and play fast with a lot of volume. Greg Rich era Scruggs Standard banjos are all super popular, in fact that may be the most popular banjo that comes through here. This is no exception and we have this set up to play and sound incredible.
On top of all of this the banjo is signed on the inside label by Earl Scruggs and also the head has been signed by Scruggs. This banjo has been touched by a legend!!!!
