1992 Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard Greg Rich era

This is a gorgeous example of a Greg Rich era Scruggs Standard with a clean hardshell case. These are skyrocketing in value. This has been fully inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This is a copy of the actual Granada that was played by Earl Scruggs. The label on the inside has been hand signed by Earl Scruggs. This has a curly maple resonator with a 3 ply hard rock maple shell. The hardware is nickel because the gold on the Scruggs Banjo wore off to nickel. The neck is curly maple with an ebony fretboard. The fretboard has a Hearts and Flowers inlay pattern with an extra inlay at the first fret. The headstock has some nice inlay work along with the Gibson logo. The neck and resonator have w/b/w binding on each side. The banjo is all original with a one piece armrest and a Presto Tailpiece. This has a Kulesh tone ring with Gibson USA stamped on the side. This originally had D tuners which this does not have but it is all original otherwise. This is a gorgeous example of a Rich era Scruggs Standard with a clean original Gibson Hardshell Case.

Condition

This is in gorgeous condition. The finish looks great with clean hardware. The neck and fretboard are both clean. The frets show basically no wear and what is there is minor and only on the first few frets. This is clean all the way around and absolutely gorgeous with no functional issues at all. This also includes a clean original hardshell case.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up here at the Banjo Warehouse. This has a new Huber frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial. The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings. This has nice string height which is adjustable with correct intonation. This is a fantastic banjo in gorgeous condition with a professional set up. This looks great sounds great and plays like a dream. All Scruggs Standard banjos have been going up and the Greg Rich era are regarded as the top of the line.
