1994 Gibson Earl Scruggs Golden Deluxe

This is a Scruggs Standard with Gold Hardware.  The banjo was made right after the end of the Greg Rich era.  This basically is a Greg Rich era banjo.  The banjo is curly maple with gold hardware.  The neck is also curly maple with an ebony fretboard.  The fretboard has a Hearts and Flowers inlay.  There is binding on each side of the neck and resonator.  This is all original.  The tailpiece is gold and has the word Deluxe inlaid.  There are spikes at the 7th and 9th and 10th frets.  This includes an original Gibson hardshell case that is in fantastic condition.

CONDITION

The banjo is in overall great shape. There is no damage and it is a beautiful example of a Scruggs Deluxe.  There is some finish checking on the headstock but it is minor. The first few frets have some wear but this is just on the first few frets. The rest look great.  The fret wear does not effect the function.  The Gold Hardware does have some wear on the armrest but otherwise it is clean.  The neck is straight and this is set up and plays and sounds fantastic.  The original case is in fantastic shape as well.
