1994 Gibson RB250 5 string Banjo

This is a gorgeous example of an RB250.  The banjo is all original and includes a really nice hardshell case.  This has been inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse.

Description

This is a mahogany banjo with a 3 ply hard rock maple shell.  The hardware is nickel and is gorgeous.  This has a mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard.  The fretboard has a Leaves and Bows inlay pattern.  There is white binding on each side of the neck and resonator.  The arm rest is a one piece armrest and this has a Presto Tailpiece.  The banjo has a Kulesh ring which is stamped Gibson USA.  This has an original flange also stamped Gibson USA.  The Gibson logo has a gorgeous amber tone to the pearl.  This is a very nice touch.  The banjo is all original and includes a very nice aftermarket Gibson style archtop hardshell case.

Condition

This is in truly gorgeous condition.  The finish looks great with only some light button scratches on the resonator.  The button scratches don’t even go all the way through the finish.  The hardware looks new.  It truly glows.  The neck is in great shape with a clean fretboard.  The frets do show some light wear on the first 5 frets but it is light and only on the first several frets.  The amber in the Gibson logo on the headstock makes this a truly stunning piece.  There are spikes at frets 7-9 and 11.  The case is in excellent shape inside and out.

Set Up

This has been set up here in the shop.  This has great string height (action) and the banjo plays great.  This has proper intonation.  The head is set to 90 on a drum dial all the way around the head.  This has a new Huber Frosted Head and new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings.  This also has a Huber bridge with an ebony cap.  This is a fantastic looking, sounding and playing instrument!!!  BUY ONLINE OR CALL TODAY 404-372-5482
