Description

This is a gorgeous 1995 RB4 5 string Banjo which is not an easy model of Gibson Banjo to find. This is all original except for the tuner buttons and truss rod cover, both of which are small parts and both changes were upgrades. This is definitely a powerful and special banjo that has been detailed and set up for peak performance.

This has a maple shell with a burled walnut resonator and walnut neck. The fretboard is rosewood with a Flying Eagle inlay pattern. The hardware is nickel and all original including a Gibson USA one piece flange and a Gibson USA Kulesh Tone ring. The banjo really shines and has the classic look on top of the dark and powerful tone that comes from walnut.

This also has an original case.

Condition

The banjo is in fantastic shape and has a nice glow to it. The 5th string tuner button has a crack in the plastic but it’s only on one side of the button and doesn’t effect anything. And the button is not original and could easily and cheaply be replaced. The hardware has been taken apart and polished to a shine. The finish is in fantastic shape and also has a nice glow. The frets and fretboard are in really good shape with clean frets and spikes at frets 7,8 an 9. This is definitely gorgeous and has a clean original case.

Set Up

The head is a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90. The bridge is a Scorpion and this has new Huber strings. We have this put together and set up to produce power and this not only is a cannon this is a stellar player. Excalibur.
