This is a Deering Boston 5 string Banjo that was Made in America. This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This is an American Made 5 string Banjo that would be the PERFECT Banjo for a Beginner. Deering Banjos are some of the finest banjos being made today and this is a nice quality instrument.

This has an aluminum shell with nickel flange and tension hoop. The neck and resonator are both mahogany and this has an ebony fretboard with dots. There is black binding on each side of the neck and white binding on each side of the resonator. This is in great shape and is all original as well. The banjo comes in a hardshell case.

Condition

This has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse. We polished all of the metal to make it look new. We also waxed the wood and oiled the fretboard and this really shines now. There are a handful of really light button scratches in the resonator that are almost under the finish. The neck and fretboard are clean and overall the frets are clean but there is a hint of wear on the first few. This is definitely in good shape. There is a 5th string capo added. The case has some wear on the outside but is a sturdy case.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta. This has a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial. We included the original Deering Plastic Head if that’s what you are into. The bridge is set with correct intonation. This has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action is set nicely. This is a great banjo for various reasons but at the price a beginner can get a quality American Made Banjo with a hardshell case.
