Description
This is a copy of the RB3 that JD Crowe played for years. The banjo is a mahogany banjo with nickel hardware and has a mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard with a Flying Eagle inlay. The headstock is also inlaid. There is binding on the neck and fretboard. This is the classic Bluegrass Banjo. If you want the banjo twang this is for you!

Condition
This is definitely in good shape and it was definitely well taken care of. There are some really light finish cracks on the back of the resonator but that is about it as far as wear is concerned. The hardware looks great. The first 4 frets have a very light amount of wear but the rest of the frets are fat and clean. That is not uncommon at all for the first few frets to show some wear on a banjo because so many banjo players only play in that area. There are spikes at the 7th-10th frets.
Sound and Playability
This banjo is loud!! This delivers the classic bluegrass sound. The mahogany gives this a wonderful bark. This has been set up to play fast. This is the perfect bluegrass banjo.
