Description

This is a factory LEFT HANDED Gibson RB250 Mastertone 5 string Banjo.  If you are a lefty you probably know how hard it is to find a good left handed banjo.  This is the real deal and it is all original with an original case.

This has a mahogany neck and resonator with an ebony fretboard.  The fretboard has a leaves and bows inlay pattern and there is binding on the neck and resonator.  This is considered the workingmans Mastertone or Workhorse because it is essentially every bit as good as any other Gibson Mastertone but these cost less new.

The hardware is nickel and all original and includes a Gibson USA one piece flange and a Gibson USA Kulesh Tone Ring.  This is a true Mastertone and we have it set up and ready to go.

If you are a lefty any good left handed banjo is a treat but this is something that rarely comes up.  This is all original and set up and ready to go.

Condition and Set Up

The banjo is in fantastic shape and has been set up at our shop.  The hardware has been disassembled and buffed to a shine.  We also waxed the finish to a nice shine.  The frets and fretboard were already clean and we cleaned and oiled everything as well.

The banjo has a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90.  The banjo has new Huber strings and a bridge which is marked F N.  I do not know who made this bridge but I do know it is a bang up bridge and it is in great shape.

This is a hard to find and top quality banjo that has been prepared to operate at it’s peak.  Check this banjo out if you are a lefty that wants a Mastertone banjo.
