1999 Stelling Staghorn 5 string Banjo

This is a gorgeous and all original Stelling Staghorn. This includes an original case. The banjo has been fully inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse.

Description

This is all original. The banjo is walnut with nickel hardware. The neck is also walnut with an ebony fretboard. The fretboard and headstock have a gorgeous abalone inlay including the Stelling logo on the face of the headstock. The headstock has an ebony face. There is white binding on each side of the neck and headstock. There is also abalone inlaid on each side of the neck and resonator. The armrest is a one piece armrest and this has a Stelling tailpiece. This is truly a gorgeous banjo. This also includes an original Stelling hardshell case.

Condition

The banjo is in fantastic condition. The wood and finish really look great. Clean all around. The hardware shines and is really attractive hardware. The frets only have minimal wear on the first few frets and the rest are clean. There are spikes in the 7th-10th frets. The original case is also clean.

Set Up

This has been set up here at the shop. The action is comfortable and produces a wonderful tone and great volume. This is a loud banjo. This has proper intonation. The head has been set to 90 on a drum dial all the way around the head. The head is a Remo frosted head that is clean. The bridge is a Sosebee bridge with an ebony cap. This has new Huber Truetone strings. The banjo truly is loud, sounds incredible and is a fantastic player.
