2000 Gibson RB4 5 string Banjo

This is a gorgeous and all original 2000 Gibson RB4 Banjo with Original Case. This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell with a walnut neck and resonator. The fretboard is rosewood with a Flying Eagle inlay pattern. The hardware is nickel and is all original including a Gibson USA one piece flange. The tone ring is a Gibson USA Kulesh Tone Ring. This is all original and in stunning condition and also includes an original hardshell case.

Condition

This shows basically no sign of use and has also been professionally cleaned at our shop. The finish looks great and has been waxed to give it a nice shine. The banjo has been taken apart and all of the metal has been buffed to shine as well. The fretboard is clean and has been oiled. The frets look great with only minimal wear and that is only on the first few frets. This definitely was well taken care of. There are spikes at the 7th-9th frets. The case is clean as well.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse as well. The head is a new Huber frosted head by Remo and is set at 90. The bridge is a new Huber Bridge and this has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings. The strings are set to play fast while getting great volume.

The RB4 is known to have a dark, haunting tone which is unique and some people love above all else. This banjo has that sound and is a clean example of a Gibson RB4 Banjo.
