2001 Gibson RB250 5 string Banjo

This is a gorgeous 2001 RB250 that is all original with the original case. The banjo has been set up and inspected at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

This is the workhorse of the Gibson line. This is the way to get the professional Gibson sound but save some money.

This has a mahogany resonator with nickel hardware and a 3 ply hard rock maple shell. The neck is also mahogany and the fretboard is ebony. The fretboard has a leaves and bows inlay pattern. There is white binding on each side of the neck and resonator. The headstock also has pearl inlaid along with the Gibson logo. This is all original with a Kulesh tone ring. The banjo is gorgeous.

This is a very similar banjo to say an RB3 but it costs a whole lot less. This also includes a clean original case.

Condition

This is truly in fantastic shape. The finish and wood look fantastic. The hardware shines and is very clean. The neck and fretboard are both clean and the neck is straight. The frets show almost no wear. This is definitely a great example of an RB250 that also has a great clean example of a Gibson case.

Set Up

This has a new Huber frosted head by Remo. The strings are also Huber strings (Truetone .10 gauge). This has a Grover bridge with an ebony cap. The head is set to 90 on a drum dial. The banjo has nice string height (action) and correct intonation. This is a great looking banjo that is set up to play and sound like a dream. There is lots of power in this banjo and this would be a great banjo for the player that wants to be noticed.
