2002 Gibson Flint Hill Special
This is one of the most spectacular banjos that I have seen. This is essentially an Earl Scruggs Deluxe with more work. The banjo is a gorgeous curly maple and this has Gold engraved hardware. The neck is also curly maple and the fretboard is ebony. There is binding on the resonator, neck and headstock. The fretboard has Hearts and Flowers. The tension hoop, tone ring and flange are all engraved. The armrest and tailpiece are also engraved. There are pearl buttons on the thumb screws and a pearl cap on the back of the neck heel. The truss rod cover is pearl. All of the hardware is gold as is the tone ring. This banjo is truly top of the line. The case is original and is near mint as well. Plus the case has an upgraded liner on the inside.
Condition
This banjo is near mint. All of the gold is glowing like new. The finish shines like new. The fretboard is spotless and the frets are perfect. There are also no spikes in the banjo. This is in essentially new condition. The banjo is set up and plays incredibly well. This is a true banger. On top of all of this the banjo sounds phenomenal. This is a truly deluxe piece. The case is also near mint.
