Description

This is a superb example of a Gibson JD Crowe RB75 Banjo. This was made in 2002 and is all original. The Banjo also Includes an Original Case which is a Deluxe Gibson Hardshell Case. This also has the original warranty paperwork and original Sales Receipt which include the Serial Number. This banjo is HOT.

This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell with a Mahogany Neck and Resonator. The fretboard is rosewood with a Flying Eagle inlay pattern. The hardware is nickel and all original including a Gibson USA One Piece Flange and an original Gibson Tone Ring.

There is no serial number stamped in the rim which is extremely rare but it happens. This does have an original Gibson Mastertone Label that is hand signed by JD Crowe. The original serial number and sales receipt are in the case which provide the serial number. We bought this from the original owner as well.

These RB75 Banjos produce a tremendous amount of pop and bang and are very loud. If you want a thick and heavy plus very aggressive Mastertone sound this is it.

Condition

This is in excellent condition. The hardware is in great shape with little tarnish at all. The finish on the wood is super clean all the way around the resonator and up the neck. The fretboard and frets are also super clean all the way down. This banjo is stunning.

This has spikes at frets 7and 9. The case is also super clean, near mint, inside and out.

Set Up

This is set up with a new Remo frosted head set to 90. The bridge is a Snuffy Smith and this has new Huber strings. The banjo is a stellar player and is set up for easy playing and strong volume and tone production.
