2003 Gibson JD Crowe RB75 5 string Banjo

This is a clean and all original 2003 Gibson JD Crowe edition RB75 Banjo.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This is a JD Crowe signature series RB75.  This was a copy of an RB75 that was played by JD Crowe and is all original with the original case.

This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell. The neck and resonator are both mahogany and this has nickel hardware.  The fretboard is rosewood and has a Flying Eagle inlay pattern.  There is white binding on each side of the neck and resonator.  The banjo is all original with a Crowe ring, one piece armrest and a Gibson Presto Tailpiece.  The headstock also has the Flying Eagle inlay along with a truss rod cover with JD Crowe’s signature.  The inside label has an authentic hand signed signature from JD Crowe which is a really nice touch.  This banjo has got a lot of punch and attack and is truly the authentic Crowe Bluegrass sound.

This also includes a clean and original Gibson Hardshell Case.  Gibson Banjos have gotten very difficult to find in this condition and this is a fantastic example of a Signature Series Crowe Banjo.

Condition

This is gorgeous.  The banjo is definitely clean and will turn heads.

We professionally clean every banjo that comes through here.  The banjo has been taken apart and we buffed the metal, waxed the wood and oiled the fretboard.  The hardware glows like it is new and the wood and finish also look great.  There is some fretwear on the first few frets but this does not effect the function.  There is no buzz and the rest of the frets look good.  There are spikes at theg 7th-10th frets. This is clean all the way around with a clean original case.

Set Up

We also professionally set up every banjo that comes through here.  This has a new Huber frosted head by Remo.  The head is set to 90 on a drum dial.  This has a Huber Bridge and the banjo has correct intonation.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action is set nicely.  This plays great with a lot of power.  I am thrilled to have this banjo because it is a true hoss and someone is going to love this.  Check out Banjo Warehouse for a load of pre owned Banjos that have been cleaned and set up to play and look like new.
