Description

This banjo was once on display at the Gibson store in Opryland. This was a custom one of a kind banjo that is truly the only one that exists. And let me clear this is an authentic Gibson Mastertone Custom Shop Banjo.

This has a Maple shell with a curly maple neck and resonator. The hardware is nickel and all original and includes a Gibson USA one piece flange and a Gibson USA Kulesh Tone Ring. This banjo is all original.

The fretboard is rosewood with a Flying Eagle inlay pattern which would be appropriate considering this is an ODE to Patriotism.

The finish is red white and blue. The back of the resonator has red and white stripes and the back of the neck is red with blue and then white stars at the neck heel. Each side of the resonator has blue finish with white stars.

This is a very rare (one of a kind) and very special Original Gibson Banjo. This is all original and includes the original case.

Condition and Set Up

The banjo is definitely in fantastic shape and has been set up in our shop. There is some tarnish on the metal which we could clean for $250. I suggest just leaving it that way because of the historical significance of this banjo but we could get that metal looking new. The finish is in fantastic shape with just some minimal and light surface scratching on the back of the resonator. This is basically invisible unless angled at the right lighting and could be either buffed or waxed out.

This has the original Pre EPA Remo Head and the original Gibson Bridge. This banjo is truly all original and is set up to play and sound incredible. This also includes the original case and an email from Gibson that confirms this is the only one of these that has been made.

We are selling this for a customer and would take $7600 cash in person for that reason. We are simply trying to help him get a different banjo he is currently interested in.
