2003 Gibson RB4 5 string Banjo

This is a gorgeous Gibson RB4 5 string Banjo. This has been fully inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This has a walnut resonator with nickel hardware. The shell is a 3 ply hard rock maple shell. The neck is also walnut with a rosewood fretboard. The fretboard has a flying eagle inlay pattern. There is w/b/w binding on each side of the neck and resonator (white binding with a black pinstripe). This has a Kulesh tone ring stamped Gibson USA. This has a one piece armrest and a Presto Tailpiece. There is inlay work on the headstock as well. This is a fantastic example of an RB4 that includes a super clean original hardshell case.

Condition

This is absolutely gorgeous. The wood and finish are all clean. The hardware is exceptional, super clean with a great shine. The neck and fretboard are both in fantastic condition with clean frets. The frets are almost perfect! There are spikes at the 7th and 9th frets. This is in great shape and looks incredible with no problems.

Set Up

This has been set up here at the Banjo Warehouse. The head is a frosted Remo head which I think may be original. The bridge is a Grover bridge with an ebony cap. The head is set to 90 on a drum dial. The string height (action) is nice and adjustable with correct intonation. This is a fantastic banjo that looks incredible and is set up to sound and play like a champion!!
