Description

Geoff Stelling has retired and he has left behind a legacy of building some of the finest banjos in history. The Red Fox was the best selling of all models of Stelling Banjo when Stelling was in production.

This has a curly maple neck and resonator. The fretboard is ebony with a gorgeous Red Fox Maple Leaf inlay. The neck and resonator each have binding and the headstock has Pearl Inlay as well.

The hardware is nickel and all original including a Stelling No Hole Tone ring and a Stelling One Piece Ribbon Flange. This also has an original armrest and tailpiece, in fact this is all original with original case.

This banjo is a hoss and absolutely gorgeous. If you want a Stelling Red Fox these are selling fast and this is ready to go.

Condition

The banjo is in fantastic shape and has been cleaned at our shop. We took the banjo apart and buffed the metal and waxed the finish and the banjo shines. The frets are fretboard are in really good shape and there are spikes at frets 7,8,9 and 10. The banjo is in great shape with a clean original case.

Set Up

This has been set up with a Remo frosted head which is set to 90. The bridge is a Stelling Bridge and this has new Huber strings. This is a very hard to find banjo that is very hot right now and has been set up to bang and pop all over the place. This is the banjo you are looking for.
