Description

This is a very clean 2004 Deering Maple Blossom Banjo. This also has a Deering Hardshell Case. The banjo is clean, set up and ready to go. Made in USA.

This has a curly maple neck and resonator with an ebony fretboard that has very nice inlay work. The hardware is nickel and all original including a One Piece Flange and a Deering No Hole Tone Ring. This banjo is loud with sweet tone.

This also includes a Deering Hardshell case with some minor wear. These are $4499 new so this is a sweet price on this banjo.

Condition

The banjo is in fantastic shape. The metal has been polished and has a nice shine. There is a spot underneath one of the tuners and on the side of the neck where finish has bubbled. The side of the neck may actually be a ding. They are both pictured and both minor blemishes. The finish on the wood is clean and has been polished to a shine as well. The frets and fretboard are perfect and there are no spikes or 5th string capo. The lack of a 5th string capo or spikes is evidence of this being barely used because a serious player would need a capo on the 5th string. That explains why the frets are perfect with no wear and this is so clean.

The case has a bite mark from a puppy we had at the house. Other then that the case is essentially new. This was not the case that this banjo left the factory in but it is a Deering Case. At $2299 shipped this is a steal.

Set Up

The banjo has the original Deering Head which we have set to 90. The bridge and strings are also new and the banjo has proper intonation and this is also a fantastic player. The bridge is a Deering bridge and this has Huber Strings. This also has a professional set up so it really plays and sounds fantastic.
