2004 Gibson JD Crowe RB75 5 string Banjo

This is an all original Gibson JD Crowe Banjo from 2004. This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

This is a copy of the banjo played by JD Crowe. This is an RB75 and this banjo is in really good shape. This is all original and cleaned up, set up and ready to go.

This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell. The neck and resonator are mahogany each with white binding on each side of the neck. The fretboard is rosewood with a Flying Eagle inlay pattern. This has all original hardware which includes a Gibson USA One Piece Flange an and original Gibson Tone Ring. This also includes an original Gibson Hardshell Case.

The Crowe RB75 has some very authentic bluegrass tone and this is a top quality musical instrument.

Condition

This is in great shape and has been professionally cleaned at our shop. The banjo has been disassembled and all of the hardware has been buffed with a high powered buffer and the metal looks great. The finish has been waxed and has a nice shine as well. The fretboard has been cleaned and oiled and also looks great. The frets are in good shape and there are spikes at frets 7,8,9 and 10. This banjo looks fantastic and includes a clean original case. The combination lock on the case is broken but the rest of the case is excellent.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse. The head is a new Remo frosted head and is set to 90. The bridge is a Grover Bridge and this has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings. This is playing great and is definitely putting out great volume and very nice tone. This banjo is for the player that wants the true and authentic classic Bluegrass Banjo sound!
