2004 Gibson RB4 5 string banjo with a new neck made by First Quality parts who made all the Gibson necks for years. This is an all original pot and the banjo has been fully inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse and includes our Full Satisfaction Guarantee.

2004 Gibson RB4

This is a walnut banjo with chrome hardware and the neck is walnut with a rosewood fretboard that has a flying eagle inlay going up the fretboard. There is also binding on the resonator and the neck is fully bound as well. The banjo is in great shape and this plays great and sounds even better.

The neck was made by First Quality parts and they used wood that has been aged for 70 years on this banjo neck as well. First Quality made banjo necks for years for Gibson so this is basically a Gibson neck because it was made by the people who made Gibson necks. The fact it has aged wood only makes it a better neck.

There is some sort of finish cracking going on the back of the resonator and I have a closeup in the pictures that show some of the faint lines. Those aren’t serious and are not easy to see at all, even up close. The hardware is in great shape and since the neck is new the frets are also in perfect condition and there are spikes at the 7th-10th frets. The banjo is absolutely an overall very clean banjo.
